EAfirst provides energy assessment services to property professionals and homeowners.

With the introduction of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive many individuals and organisations now find they are required to document the energy performance of their premises, either when they are marketed for sale or in compliance with other elements of the Directive and UK legislation.

This includes the Home Information Pack as required by the Housing Act 2004 which includes an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for residential property, as well as rented property, commercial and public property. EAfirst provides access to energy assessment services in support of these responsibilities.

The primary purpose of the Directive and the energy performance certificate in the UK is to identify and reduce the energy consumption of our buildings. This will become increasingly important to ensure the security of our energy sources both from within in the UK and imported, as well as reducing our energy requirements.
